Pope urges a "world authority" to govern the economy

The Pope was also quoted as saying, "Obviously it would have to have the authority to ensure compliance with its decisions from all parties, and also with the coordinated measures adopted in various international forums."

Perhaps I can be forgiven for applying the tag "end times" to this post, seeing as nearly every prophetic scheme I've read for 30+ years claims our planet is headed for:

  • a one-world government
  • a one-world economy
  • a one-world religion
at least in some degree...

For a person in Benedict's position to make such a call in a papal encyclical is truly astounding.
