Redbox rocks

I'm the only person in my demographic who hasn't used Redbox yet... until today! Only $1.06 to see something I missed in the theater. Beats the $4.99 + tax I would have paid via Comcast On Demand. If I hadn't been curious, just trolling through the machine, then the whole transaction would only have taken me about one minute.

Blockbuster, RIP, yes, but with Google TV about to surface and Apple TV getting more muscular, we're sure, in months to come, we will not only be nearing the end of rental stores but physical copies of DVDs themselves.

Use Dropbox to save time sharing mobile pictures

2010-10-03_22
Not many people care that Socks wants a place at the table. But some do.

Getting good quality pictures from an iPhone or Android phone?  The fastest way to share them may be to use my old friend Dropbox. I'm discovering that uploading pictures to Dropbox saves me time and probably steps as well.

Just upload pictures and video using the Dropbox app on your phone, and avoid emailing them to yourself or any such nonsense. It then gives you more control from your "regular" computer to use the normal user interfaces on Tumblr, Posterous, Facebook, etc. You get it.

So simple, even Socks can do it! Well, he is a smart breed.
